A replacement deck was desperately needed at this school. Despite using good quality materials the existing decks were treacherous due to the build up of algae in the grooved boards. This is a common problem with grooved decking and Timberscapes does not recommend this finish in any situation.
We removed the offending boards and replaced with aggregate insert timber deck boards and colourful balustrade. The step edges were also painted bright yellow for the benefit of the visually impaired.
